In a Nut Shell...

I am a self proclaimed geek, having grown up with, and fallen in love with the personal computer. Some say that I am overeducated and trying to decide on a mid life crisis. I have spent most of my professional life working in information systems as a systems administrator, analyst and consultant. After making a start at a career transition from doing information systems to teaching information systems, I stumbled and am working again.  I am ABD (all but dissertation) on my PhD from The University of Memphis, and hope to land a collegiate teaching job in the near future, but for right now you can find my giving my meager talent to Weatherbee Media, an interactive communications powerhouse.

I have a beautiful wife and 2 beautiful children to whom I devote my life. You can check out our little train wreck of a family in the Photo Gallery. Also check out the Gaming Dads blog, which I am trying to get off the ground for like minded gaming dads like me. Computer and video games can be great education and entertainment for kids. However, like television, there can be a downside to any form of entertainment.  Dad’s and gamers have to find that balance.
